2. Do I need prior yoga experience to join?
No yoga experience is required! Goat yoga is designed to be fun and accessible for all levels, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced yogi. The focus is more on having fun with goats than achieving perfect poses.
3. Will the goats climb on me during yoga?
Yes, it’s possible! Goats are naturally curious and may jump onto back or lie beside you while you’re doing poses like child’s pose, plank or table top. Their gentle nature makes it an enjoyable experience.
4. Is goat yoga safe?
Absolutely! Our goats are friendly, well-trained and used to being around people. We take precautions to ensure the goats and participates are safe and comfortable. The yoga instructor and goat handlers are always present to monitor interactions.
5. What should I wear to goat yoga?
Wear comfortable, breathable clothing that allows you to move easily. Keep in mind that goats can be playful and might nuzzle or jump on you, so avoid wearing anything too delicate or that you don’t mind getting dirty. We also recommend bringing a yoga mat you don’t mind getting a little dirty.
6. Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?
Yes, you’ll need to bring your own mat or towel. None will be provided.
7. Are the goats clean?
Yes, our goats are well-groomed and cared for. However, goats are still animals and some light mess is possible.
8. Can children participate in goat yoga?
Absolutely! Goat yoga is family-friendly and kids love interacting with the goats. However, we recommend children be at least 4 years old to participate and they must be accompanied by an adult.
9. What happens if a goat has an “accident”?
While it doesn’t happen often, accidents can occur during goat yoga. We have cleaning supplies on hand to deal with any messes quickly so you can get back to your practice.
10. Can I interact with goats after the yoga session?
Yes! After the class, you will be given a set amount of time to interact with the goats, take photos, and ask questions about them. It’s a great time to get those cute selfies!
11. Is goat yoga outdoor or indoors?
Our goat yoga sessions typically take place outdoors at local breweries, wineries, universities and everywhere in between. Some events are indoors, please check the write up for the event to find out that accommodations ahead of time. In case of bad weather, we may reschedule or cancel an outdoor event. Please check your email and our social media for cancellations before going to any of the events.
